On 8th June, 2023 at Chandubi Amrit Plantation, the Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced:
1 .1 cr seedlings to be planted across State
2. Commercial tree planting by Self Help Group Member, ASHA workers and supervisors, Police, Educational institutes, Anganwadi workers etc
3. Registration to be done on Web Portal/ Mobile App
4. Financial grant of Rupees 100 will be given as Direct Beneficiary Transfer after planting the seedling and ing the image onto the portal.
5. Rs. 200 to be paid in 3rd Year on survival of the plant
6. Geotagged Photos have to be ed to avail the financial grant.
Direct Beneficiary Transfer:
For planting seedling and ing the image of the seedling planted along with geo-location and timestamp, the participants will get a financial grant of Rupees one hundred . Upon survival of the plant, they will receive another grant of Rupees 200. As sole owner of the tree, he/she will be responsible for its care.
Seedling Distribution:
At district/block level, seedlings will be stocked and safe-keeping will be ensured. Participants will be provided with seedlings free of charge from their respective pre-defined collection centres.
